I love to make these candied pecans to put in a salad. I put them in Waldorf salad for a nice crunchy sweet flavor. They can also be a dessert topping. I made a carrot cake for my mom’s birthday party with cream cheese icing and decorated the cake with these sugared pecans. They were so delicious as a topping and went really well with the flavors of the carrot cake. You can also add them to a charcuterie board.
Cinnamon sugar pecans are a healthy snack, this recipe calls half the sugar as some other recipes do. Pecans have protein and minerals, and cinnamon has health benefits too. As an added bonus they make your house smell so good you might want to have a batch of these in the oven before company arrives.
