This recipe will show you how to make Healthy Waldorf salad that everyone will love!
Healthy Waldorf salad is one of my favorite recipes to make during the holidays. The fresh fruits and nuts are so crunchy and delicious together.
With only a few ingredients this salad and dressing come together quickly and saves you time in the kitchen.
If you are making the salad to bring to a gathering and it’s not going to be eaten right away, I suggest you bring the dressing in a separate container and add the dressing before serving.
You can make this salad your own by adding whatever type of apple you like best. This Waldorf salad is different than the original recipe. The classic recipe calls for mayonnaise instead of yogurt and doesn’t have craisins in it. I like adding in craisins for added color and sweetness.
Many people don’t like mayonnaise in the classic version of Waldorf salad but if you do then you can use mayo instead of yogurt. Greek yogurt is a little healthier option then mayonnaise.
Walnuts or pecans work equally well. For something extra special you can include candied pecans or walnuts. You can get my recipe for cinnamon sugar pecans here.
