Do you want to spoil your horse with a delicious homemade horse treat recipe that is healthy for them and only takes a few minutes to prepare?
I have just the recipe for YOU! I like to give my horses some special treats during the holidays just like kids, your pets deserve something special too right? My horses go crazy for these treats even my dog loves them! This recipe only has 7 ingredients and most you probably already have on hand.
Making horse treat recipes is fun and if you have some horsey friends why not make a double batch and give them out as a gift. Trust me they will be really impressed and think you are the most thoughtful person to think of them and their horses too.
A homemade horse treat recipe that is healthy
These homemade horse treats are really healthy. The fennel seed has medicinal properties that supports normal digestion. Fennel is known to help with horses who are susceptible to gas and bloating.
How to make:
This recipe makes 24 mini muffin cup size treats. I like to make them this size because they pack easily into containers and jars for gifts. If you don’t have a mini muffin pan they work just as well in a regular muffin pan.
The mini muffins hold together nicely and are not crumbly like some other recipes. I press the dough down with my fingers after I fill the pan to make a solid muffin. You can adjust this recipe and add in other ingredients your horse likes, just be sure the dough stays nice and sticky before baking.
